With Mother’s Day being just around the corner, you should consider what you’ll be getting your mother and the other mothers in your life. Shipping takes time, so plan appropriately.
If your beloved mother is not near enough to visit, and you can’t spring for the long distance call, Skype is helping out. On Mother’s Day (beginning at 5am Eastern and going on for a full 24 hours) you can call your Mom via SkypeOut- for free. You are limitied to 200 minutes, but heck, that’s at least 1200 statements of “I love you” and an equal number of “then how come you never call?”
As an aside for podcasters, this is the perfect opportunity to tell your Mom what you think AND have it recorded and broadcast for the world to hear. I use PowerGramo for Windows, and I think Roland of Bad Dad Radio uses Audio Hijack on his Mac. Not sure what to use? VoIP-Sol has done a nice job of consolidating recording options for all platforms on one page.
