Is this a good answer?
April 3rd, 2008 | by Vinny |(Regarding taking a teaching position closer to home, after years in administration, I was asked:
Q: What about the allure of administration? Would you be happy in a job like this, or is it not going to be exciting enough for you?
A: I’ve been an administrator. I went there because I was enticed by the money, and the chance to lead and to help others. While I was an assistant principal, I got to be the heavy. Parents and students look at me now with smiles. Back then, it was frowns and anger. What’s most important to me now is settling into a job that I can do well, building a program to the best it can be, and going home each night to my family, which is more important than anything.
Would you hire that guy?

Yes. Because that is the answer from a guy who’s committed to being an excellent educator.
Hope it works it out.

Probably. He’s honest and puts his family first. He is also interested in excellence.
