Circumcision?

This is an extremely touchy subject. Everyone who has a son has had to face this discussion, and I am overwhelmed after the hub-bub over at Suburban Turmoil after Lindsay mentioned it.
Now I am circumcised, and my wife and I discussed it at length (haha) and decided not to succumb to social pressures. As such, Skippy is not. However, according to the rest of the men in the blogosphere, I was wrong. To rehash the idea here would be silly, since over 100 folks have weighed in over at Suburban Turmoil. If you are interested in the debate, or want to chime in with your own thoughts, do so either here or there. I’ll be keeping up. Not that I will be having any children any time soon, but the topic is very interesting.
As an aside, Skippy and I will be chatting in this particular area in the next few days, as he will be having his first on-stage kiss soon, as well as his Health Class Human Sexuality unit.

MrMaple and I also chose not to circumcise miniMaple. But, as it turned out, his urethra fused causing urine retention and forcing a circumcision a year later (ouch!). Even knowing this, however, we would not have altered our decision.
